EAACI 2020 will host a number of presentations covering topics on allergen immunotherapy, asthma, and environmental and occupational allergy. A symposium on "Allergy in urban environment ”, with key speaker Professor Frank Kelly, will discuss the implications of chemical air pollutants on allergic diseases and introduce urban green spaces as a measure to protect pollen-allergy sufferers.

BTS positions climate change as a major threat to human health and asks its members to take action, aiming to reduce climate change, or mitigate its effects. 25TH WORLD ORGANIZATION OF FAMILY DOCTORS (WONCA) EUROPE CONFERENCE
Berlin, Germany
WONCA is working to reduce the impacts of air pollution on patients and communities in lower- and middle-income countries. Through its Working Party on the Environment it aims to increase awareness among family doctors and other primary healthcare practitioners – and in turn their patients – of the health risks of exposure to air pollution.

80TH FIP WORLD CONGRESS OF PHARMACY AND PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES

FIP in collaboration with TCBI is working to promote the changing needs in respiratory disease management and the important role pharmacists must play in respiratory care. This year’s session “Global strategy and action plan on ageing and health”, will cover the role of pharmacy in ensuring good health for all, and the FIP 2020 Hackathon aims to find innovative solutions for healthcare challenges.

The RCGP supports the work of the UK Health Alliance on Climate Change to promote the National Clean Air Day. The 2020 conference programme is currently being developed, based on suggestions from RCGP members and will be published in April 2020.

The Respiratory Show will engage a largely UK-based audience of clinicians in primary and secondary care with an interest in respiratory diseases. UN CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE (UNFCCC COP26)

UNFCC is one of the biggest international summits where climate experts and campaigners agree coordinated action to tackle climate change. The overarching theme this year will be “Healthy and ambitious nationally determined contributions to the Paris Agreement” and key sessions will focus on the health co-benefits of a broad range of climate policies, air quality measures, educational and civil society involvement, nature-based solutions and others.
